Recently, some of the leading social media platform have gone out of their way to antagonize some of their most loyal and profitable market. Facebook mods are on record saying they delete and shadow-ban conservative posts. Twitter has censored President Trump and Instagram and even Reddit have stifled conservative voices.
According to Statista, one of the leading statistics companies on the internet, social media spending in the US was expected to increase to $17.34 billion in 2019. By 2020, social media ad spending is predicted overtake traditional TV ads. Yet these social media platforms have apparently been doing almost everything in their power—not to serve as platforms— but to act as censors for opinions they don’t like and to drive away conservative users, businesses whose politics they don't agree with, as well as potential advertisers.
